Custom Club Fitting
It is a fact that over 90% of players are using equipment that is not suited to them. At the Custom Club & Repair Centre is our policy to endeavour that every customer is fitted correctly whether they are purchasing an OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) set, getting a set made or getting their own clubs adjusted.

All our club fittings are done through dynamic testing with the customer. Unfortunately there are too many centres that carry out their fittings without first observing the client hitting balls in real conditions. We pride ourselves in spending time with our customers and discussing the set make up and the correct club specifications required in order to get the most from their game.

There are several factors that must be considered for each club when fitting and customising a set for a customer. In order to obtain a complete club specification, some of the factors in our analysis are :

  • Club Lie
  • Shaft Flex
  • Total Club Weight
  • Shaft Weight
  • Grip Weight
  • Shaft Torque
  • Swing Weight
  • Face Angle
  • Balance Point
  • Set Make Up
  • Club Length
  • Face Progression
  • Grip Size
  • Club Loft
These specifications can have an effect on shot performance and can have major influences on accuracy, feel, trajectory, distance and backspin.

Frequency Matching Shafts.
Shaft flexes are typically divided by manufactures into categories in order to give the customer the choice of the right shaft. These are referred to as : Ladies Flex, Senior or A Flex, Regular, Firm, Stiff and X Flex. Unfortunately there is no industry standard to say that a Regular shaft must be a certain flex or cpm.

Indeed we more often find when analysing clubs that a set up clubs rated as regular may often contain shafts with various shaft flexes. At our custom building area we ensure that a set up clubs will be within the same flex band & that the shafts will be frequency matched within the set. Why not drop your clubs into to us and we’ll do a full analysis of your set.

Shaft Pureing : Make every club your favourite club

This is a patented process that locates the most stable plane of the shaft. The Pureing process reveals how round, how straight and how stiff each shaft is and shows the dominant orientation that is most consistent. By installing each shaft so that the marked area is placed in a neutral position, every club within a set will have the exact same Plane of Uniform REpeatability (PURE). PUREing does not rely on human judgement - it is a science that is accurate to less than 1 degree.

This process is now used by over two thirds of players on the PGA Tour as it will provide the player with much more consistency and accuracy.
